After doing a few Remix Album Covers, I wanted to give myself a bigger challenge. The concept revolved around doing an image only “family tree” of all the current 36 Halos. Looking out to the web/ Discord, I found inspiration from Nine Inch Nails Discordance member Alys and their Locus Poster.

With that figured out came the hard part. Figuring out how to a small or large degree, “reinvent” each Halo thematically but still be very recognizable at first glance. I wanted to shy away from text at all possible along with making “1-for-1” copies of album art.

There was a lot of source imagery out there thankfully, and a big shoutout to NINwiki and nindestruct for their amazing archives. A lot of kit bashing of these images and re-learning some rustic 90’s photoshop skills made some pretty cool Halo representations. I really enjoyed this, and hope you do as well.

The file is available for free. It’s 24″ x 36″ @ 300DPI, so perfect for making your own poster if you wish.
